The 7201 PCI Serial Interface is a legacy product offering robust two-port asynchronous communication with software-configurable RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 interfaces per port. Built with 16C850 UARTs, each channel includes 128-byte transmit and receive FIFOs for efficient high-speed data handling—perfect for industrial applications requiring dependable legacy connectivity.

Designed to work with both 3.3V and 5V PCI slots, the 7201 ensures compatibility across a broad range of PC-based industrial platforms. RS-485 modes include automatic driver enable/disable, streamlining system design for multi-drop communication.
